Key Largo is the doorway to the keys and many Miamians, like us, own vacation homes here.

Key Largo, diving capital of the world,  is world renowned as one of the best coral reefs anywhere. In the map, the best reefs are shown with a red/white flag, which is the warning flag dor divers.

There are more diving equipment shops per square mile in Key Largo than anyother place in the world. You can rent a boat or go on a tour and explore the reefs.

Fishing is also great and Islamorada, to the south is considered the Sport fishing capital.

The name comes from the spanish Cayo Largo or Long Key, because it is the longest of the Florida keys.
